This policy explains which cookies and trackers are used on the RentDari website, what they are for, how long they are kept and how you stay in control of them at any time. It complements our privacy policy.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a website, allowing your browser to be recognised from one page to the next. The term is used broadly here: it also covers browser local storage and tracking pixels.
2. Our principle: nothing is set without your agreement
No analytics or advertising cookie is set before you have explicitly accepted it. Until you answer the banner, the corresponding scripts are not loaded at all — they are not merely paused.
- Refusing is as easy as accepting: both options sit on the same screen, one click away.
- No box is pre-ticked: every optional category starts switched off.
- Access to the site does not depend on your answer: refusing blocks no content.
- Your decision is stored for 6 months, after which you are asked again.
3. Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential to running the site and are exempt from consent. They are set by RentDari only and shared with no third party.
- NEXT_LOCALE — RentDari — remembers the display language you chose — 12 months.
- rentdari_consent — RentDari — remembers your cookie choices and the date you made them — 6 months.
4. Analytics cookies
Set only if you accept the “Analytics” category. They help us understand which pages are read and improve the site.
- _ga, _ga_* — Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager — distinguish visitors and measure sessions — up to 24 months.
- _gid — Google Analytics — distinguishes visitors within a day — 24 hours.
- ph_*_posthog — PostHog — page views and navigation paths — 12 months.
Google Tag Manager runs in Consent Mode v2: tags inside the container receive a denied default and are only enabled for the purposes you accepted.
5. Advertising cookies
Set only if you accept the “Advertising” category. They let Meta measure the effectiveness of our Facebook and Instagram campaigns and may be used to build advertising audiences. They track your browsing beyond our site.
- _fbp — Meta — identifies your browser for campaign measurement — 3 months.
- _fbc — Meta — stores the identifier of the ad you arrived from — 3 months.
6. Retention periods
The durations above are those published by each provider. Your answer to the banner — acceptance as well as refusal — is kept for 6 months. After that, or if we add, remove or replace a tool, the banner reappears and your consent is requested again.
7. Changing or withdrawing your consent
You may change your mind at any time and without giving a reason: the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every page reopens the preferences panel.
When you withdraw a permission, the matching cookies are deleted from your browser and the page reloads, so the scripts concerned stop running immediately.
You can also configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may degrade how the site works.
8. Transfers outside Morocco
Google (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager) and Meta are established outside Morocco and some of their processing takes place in the United States. Our PostHog instance is hosted in the European Union. These transfers only happen if you accepted the relevant category; if you refuse, no data reaches these providers.
9. Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679) and Moroccan law 09-08, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of data concerning you, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Write to us at [email protected].
You may lodge a complaint with the CNDP in Morocco or, if you live in the European Union, with the data protection authority of your country of residence.
10. Contact and updates
Data controller: El Mehdi Bouhou (sole trader), trading as RentDari — [email protected].
This policy is updated whenever the list of trackers changes. The date of the latest update appears at the top of this page.
