Work out the tourist tax in Morocco.
Pick the accommodation type, the nights and the guests: the calculator applies the legal range of law 47-06, and your commune’s rate if you know it.
That is about €7.28 – 18.20 or £6.07 – 15.17, paid in dirhams, usually at the property.
Indicative rate on 4 November 2026: €1 = 10.99 MAD, £1 = 13.18 MAD.
Ranges from article 73 of law no. 47-06 on local authority taxation, as amended by law no. 07-20. Each commune sets its rate within that range by order: without it, the calculator gives a minimum and a maximum, not the exact amount. Children under 12 are exempt (article 71). An indicative estimate with no tax value.
- Who collects it, the Airbnb case and a worked example: it is all in our guide to the tourist tax in Morocco.
- The tourist tax does not replace the tax on your rental income: see our guide to short-term rental taxation in Morocco.
- Authorisation, guest registration, co-ownership: a host’s other obligations are summed up in our guide to short-term rental rules in Morocco.
- To see what your property earns once commissions, costs and tax are deducted, simulate your net income.
- The guests counted here are also the ones to register: prepare their guest registration forms, in French and Arabic.
